So, I know that I always talk about how crappy of a blogger I am but today I really blew it. I thought that i had saved my post but it isn't there. It was a really big post as well. I am too lazy to do it all over again so you will just get a quick rundown, or kind of quick.
We were able to go to Logan a week and a half ago to be at our friends Steve and Nancy's wedding. It was a great ceremony and we were so happy to share their day with them. We stopped in Malad on the way down and back and were able to visit with the Gilgen's. We were able to get in a ride up North Canyon one night. It was nice since I haven't been on my bike for over a year.
We raced back home so Katie could get her homework done for the next day. She has been doing so well in school. She was so worried about Chem, but she is kickin butt and has gotten A's on all her tests so far. She only has 2 weeks left this semester. She will be off for 7 weeks before she returns for her last semester at BYU-I in the fall. It will be nice to have more than an hour or two a day to spend with each other. I am not looking forward to her going to grad school.
I put up a few pics off my cell of things I forgot about. I was going to put the broken Pyrex up before but it was a sensitive subject for Katie. She had been slaving over dinner and I was out in the garage reloading or working on the boat or something, she came out in tears. I thought something horrible had happened. I went into the house and saw the mess on the floor. It reminded me of a Brad Paisley song cause I thought it was kind of funny but sure didn't share that with her at the time. I think that she was more distraught about the dish than dinner. It was a personalized wedding present from Aaron and Laura that had a BYU Y on it and our name. It is something we can now laugh about.
I had to work on the 4th which was sad for Katie because it is her favorite holiday. Even though I was gone, she still managed to run in the 5K, bring me lunch, attend a parade, clean the house, do her homework, and start building two baby blankets... She is pretty much amazing!
I was able to get off work early because I had to get ready for an unexpected assignment to Silver City New Mexico. We went to the Rexburg Rodeo and watched the fireworks, then went home and lit a few of our own off that we had around from last year. We tried to get some sleep since I had to leave the house at 0500 the next morning but the neighborhood fireworks kept us up most of the night.
I will write more about my time in Silver City later....
