Two Days With No Rain!!!

Well, somehow during the three or four week rain storm we were able to do a little fishing and camping. We had gone out a few weeks ago and no sooner did we get the boat on the water we were rushing to beat the hurricane. The next week I went out after work with my buddy Jason and we started catching a few a we got nailed by a storm. I got soaked from the waist down. I will remember in the future to bring rain gear for everyone on my boat so I don't have to share mine...

Anyway, Katie has been itchin to go fishin and campin for quite a while. We went out last Friday after work and she was able to catch her first Bass. She actually caught three. The first one was probably the fattest that we have pulled out of Ririe. We camped out that night and went back in the morning and caught two more bass and a little trout. So we ended up with six and one, but were only able to keep the two that Katie caught. Katie had to go back to town to take a test so I broke camp alone and just in time before the rain started up again. We hit a pretty good window there.

I keep learning about these smallmouths and I think I might be getting better at catching them. I just wish we had a lake close by that had a little better population.

We are going to Logan and Malad for the weekend. We have some good friends getting married on Saturday in Logan and will spend the rest of the time in Malad. Katie's family is having a reunion while we are at the wedding but we hope to be able to see everyone for a little bit before and after.
